AT THE DENA SMITH SCHOOL OF DANCE, PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS A MATTER OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.

OFFLINE PRIVACY POLICY

All pupils starting at the Dena smith School of Dance are asked for their contact details, name, address, parent or guardian’s name and telephone number plus also an email address if available. By submitting your details, we assume consent to use it for contacting you and for use in examination and showcase administration, this is all securely kept. All pupils under 13 must have a parent or guardian give this consent.

When leaving the school, records are destroyed straight away. If we are not informed and you have not attended class for six weeks without an explanation it shall be assumed you have left and records shall be destroyed.

Data is not shared to third parties except the N.A.T.D. to arrange examination sessions and to the Children in Employment & Entertainment office at the council if you have given consent to perform in the biennial showcase.

When examinations have been taken candidates are allocated a PIN number by the N.A.T.D. This is recorded together with the candidate’s date of birth for future use when booking examinations. Records of examination results are recorded by the Dena Smith School of Dance and then passed directly on to the pupil.

You have the option to access your personal data and request that some or all of it is deleted from our records. To do this please contact dena.stuart@sky.com
