UNIFORM FOR EXAMINATIONS - PLEASE WEAR TO CLASS BEFORE THE PRACTISE SESSION SO I CAN ENSURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT UNIFORM.

Please note pupils are awarded marks for hair and uniform. Please see the DSSD Students should you require help.

BALLET

Ballet Uniform

Class, Prelim & Grade 1 Ballet

  • Black sleeveless leotard

(Please ensure underwear is well hidden or no underwear during the exam)

  • Black ballet skirt (chiffon preferred) the length should be mid thigh , please check with me if you  are unsure.

  • Pink ballet socks

  • Pink ballet shoes with elastics, leather, satin or canvas - FULL SOLE not split sole

(Please do not buy new ballet shoes before the examination)

  • Hair classical bun with white ribbon (½ inch in width to tie around bun)

Option 2

  • White T-Shirt/White Leotard

  • Black shorts

  • White socks

  • Pink Ballet shoes

  • Hair tidy

No jewellery, make up or nail vanish to be worn in examination

 

Examination Uniform - Grade Two and above

  • Black sleeveless leotard

Tap Uniform

  • Hair plaited/low ponytail white ribbon (½ inch in width to tie around)

  • Black tap shoes

  • Hair tidy

  • The DSSD Shop  on the menu bar  please click on the words DSSD shop to access the shop.

  • Pink ballet shoe ribbon £3 or white ribbon for hair £1. This is also available in the DSSD shop if you  would like to purchase this.

Juvenile/Junior Ballet medal

This is a short performance medal, your child will remain in the same class following on from this examination.

 Show costume dress.

  • Pink ballet shoes

  • Simple make up

  • Hair Classical Bun

  • Red cape I will provide this.

Junior Gold Gymnastics Dance Medal

This is a medal test, your child will remain in the same class following on from this examination.

  • Greatest showman costume - with black footless tights

  • Bare feet

  • Simple make up

  • Hair neatly styled - appropriate for your chosen tricks.
